Vanessa & Brian's Engagement Session

It was definitely a beautiful, autumn day at Humphrey's Estate in Temecula... the day we chose to photograph Vanessa & Brian's engagement session.  The colors were incredible!
When we first started to photograph them, Vanessa had concerns because taking pictures is not Brian's favorite thing to do (which is the case for most guys).  However, by the end of the day, Brian actually told us what we love to hear most from guys like him... he actually had a lot of fun! Yay!!!

Brian is a train engineer,  and when he saw the property had train tracks, he lit up like a kid on Christmas morning.  So, of course, we snapped a few pictures of them on the tracks.
We love it when we can incorporate the couple's personalities and lifestyles into their images.  Mission accomplished!

Kimberly + Billy: Engaged!

We always have such a fun time photographing engagement sessions, but with Kimberly & Billy, we REALLY had a fun time!!! They are such a sweet & happy couple.  In love with life & in love with each other, which made their pictures both playful & romantic.  

We photographed their pictures at Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula.  It was the perfect time of year to photograph in the vineyards.  Even though it was a little cold, the vibrant, fall colors made for a beautiful background.

Colleen & Todd's Wedding Day

As wedding photographers, each wedding is filled with all kinds of surprises!  When we arrive at a wedding, we are prepared for whatever awaits us… whether it is a calm, smiling bride or a nervous, anxious bride…. regardless, it is an emotional experience for everyone we will be photographing.  It is always a beautiful display of love, of gratitude, and celebration of life!  

Colleen was the bride everyone wants to be.  She was so calm and soaked in every moment.  One of our favorite moments was when they saw each other.  Her fiance, Todd's reaction was so genuine and loving.  

We met Colleen & Todd through Todd's brother, Tim.  We photographed Tim & Mandi's engagements & wedding in 2010.  

Colleen & Todd's  wedding was so beautiful, they had planned it out perfectly.  It was held at the Hyatt Hotel in Newport Beach.  

We are so thankful to have celebrated with Colleen and Todd and their families & friends!  We hope that they continue to soak up the sweet moments that every day brings to them!

Merissa + James: Married!

When we first met Merissa & James, we asked them how they met.  James then began to tell us the sweetest story that brought tears to our eyes.  James is from Australia, and Merissa lived here in Temecula.  James told us that there love story began in Las Vegas, where he had the opportunity to share an elevator with the most beautiful girl.  You know how its always awkward to share an elevator with complete strangers?  Well not for this couple, they struck up a conversation and had instant chemistry. As time went on, they fell in love,  and Merissa moved to Australia to be with James.  James told us their love story seems so surreal, just like a fairy tale.  

And their wedding day was, just like a fairy tale.  The weather was beautiful, the sun was shinning, and they both radiated with love for one another.  The way that Merissa looked at James and how he looked back at her made our hearts melt.  We are sure you will agree with us as you look at their images we put into their slideshow. 

Merissa & James, your love inspires us to continue our belief in forever.

Angela & Reed's Wedding Day

We photographed Angela & Reed's engagements almost a whole year ago (you can see their engagement blog post here) and we couldn't wait until their wedding day!  They are such a gorgeous couple, who wouldn't be excited?!  

Their wedding was held on such a beautiful day.  While we were finishing up photographing their newlywed pictures, the perfect sunset started to form.  It was like it was painted just for them!  

There were so many sweet moments between Angela & Reed throughout the day and we are very glad we were there to capture everything for this happy couple!

Nicole & Josh's Fairytale Wedding

The first time we met Nicole and Josh was when we met at Balboa Park, to photograph their engagement pictures.  We had so much fun getting to know them both, that day, while taking some really sweet pictures, to document their engagement.  I knew right then that we were really going to enjoy this new relationship that was forming between them and us.  They were so pleased with the outcome of that session, that Nicole soon called me and wanted to give Josh a really special wedding gift and asked me to shoot her boudoir session and to design a boudoir album, just for Josh.  To me it is such an incredible vote of trust, when a woman feels safe with me and asks me photograph her in such an intimate setting.  Well, lucky for me, Josh loved his wedding gift!  

Then came their wedding day!  Nicole looked like a genuine princess - horse carriage and all!  Josh has never looked more handsome than he did that day - her very own prince charming!  Their love for each other is so evident!  The way they look at each other . . . well, I can't tell you how many times we all teared up that day!  Everything was so beautiful.  From the beginning of their time getting ready for the big day to the end of their awesome reception, everything was simply perfect.

Jennifer & Brian Exchanged Vows

This was the first time we have shot a wedding at Mt. Palomar Winery.  So not only were we excited when Jennifer & Brian asked us to photograph their wedding because they were such a sweet & lovely couple, but how exciting to photograph at the beautiful Mt. Palomar Winery!   

Their ceremony was beautiful & intimate, and their reception... breathtaking.  This couple & their family & friends know how to rock!  After dinner concluded, the dance music started and in a matter of seconds the dance floor was filled & the party was on.  So much fun!

Abbra & Tim Got Married!

We have known this couple since they first began which was about 4 years ago, and we have known Tim for about 8 years.   He has been our son-in-law's best friend since high school.  We knew from the beginning Abbra was the one for Tim.  We were so happy when Tim proposed & Abbra said, "yes".   We were even happier when they asked me & Doug to photograph their wedding!  

What a vision Abbra was on their wedding day- very "Grace Kelly- esque"!  Their wedding was filled with a combination of laughter & tears.  What an honor it was to witness the bonding of these two hearts & a thrill to document the day for them through our images.  

Abbra, you are beautiful!  Something that Tim clearly already knew.  Tim, you are a present-day prince charming, something that Abbra was completely aware of.  Now... everyone who visits our blog will know too!  Oh! By the way, the gorgeous auburn-haired bridesmaid is our daughter, Ashley, and the handsome groomsman at her side is our son-in-law, Andrew.

Amanda & Clay's Engagements

Amanda & Clay are engaged to be married on May 27, 2012.  

We fell in love with this adorable & fun-loving couple within minutes after meeting them.  Amanda has a million dollar smile, and its Clay that puts that smile on her face!  We had such a great time getting to know this sweet couple & we are looking forward to all the fun we are going to have photographing their wedding day.

Jessica & Justin's Wedding Day

Jessica & Justin held their wedding at the beautiful Villa de Amore in the Temecula wineries.  Jessica looked beautiful and was beaming with so much happiness all day, and Justin was so handsome in his Navy uniform.  Justin's son, Jakob, what a cutie-pie!  He wanted to look just like his daddy, and did he ever! 

Their wedding was absolutely gorgeous & sweet & fun!

Amberlyn & Nathan's Wedding Day

 We had such a fun time photographing Amberlyn & Nathan's engagement pictures, and we couldn't wait for their wedding day!  They were married at South Coast Winery Resort in Temecula.  This particular weekend was so hot, but the heat did not interfere with them having a beautiful wedding & letting everyone have a good time!  Amberlyn & Nathan have been looking forward to their wedding day for quite some time.  Watching their exchange of looks as Amberlyn walked down the aisle was very moving. We can only imagine how many times the thought of that moment came to their minds prior to that day. It was beautiful, and one of our favorite parts of the day. 

Amberlyn & Nathan thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day.  Congratulations and we hope you have even more happy years together than you already have!!!

Melissa & Eugene's Wedding Day

It was a beautiful warm day that started off at the Mission Inn in Riverside, California, where the bride, groom and the wedding party got ready for Melissa & Eugene’s wedding. Melissa looked exquisite and Eugene was so handsome! After some pre-ceremony pictures we headed for St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, where they exchanged their vows. After family pictures at the church it was off to Eagle Glen Golf Club for a wonderful reception with good food, warm people and of course . . . more pictures! Melissa & Eugene are such a sweet and relaxed couple. It was truly a joy to spend the day with them and all their family and friends.

Alex & Mike are Married!

I know we have said stuff like this before but this couple is soooooo gorgeous, soooooo sweet and soooooo in love with each other that we fell in love with them too!

Alex (short for Alexandra) is so beautiful and elegant that she was radiating on their wedding day and Mike . . . well, he is about as handsome as they come. However, one of the things that impressed us the most about Mike is how attentive and affectionate he is with his two daughters. Many times throughout the day and evening our eyes would well-up with tears, after watching his inner action with them – so nurturing and so sweet. Then of course, there is the way he and Alex look at each other – it takes your breath away! All that being said, their wedding day was beautiful. Their family and friends all had a wonderful time celebrating Alex and Mike's love for each other.

Alex & Mike, we wish you all the joys that your love will bring to your new lives together!

Elissa & Jared's Wedding Day

Loved.  That was clearly the theme of Elissa & Jared's wedding day.  They spent the day displaying their love for one another, for their families, for the friends, and for anyone they came in contact with that day.  Elissa looked beautiful, and Jared's smile was filled with adoration for his glowing bride.  There was a warm-ness,  a tenderness and passion that gleamed throughout the day, and we were lucky to have been a part of it.

Denell & Johnathan: Engaged!

We were introduced to Denell through a previous bride of ours, Jamie Akin (whom we just love!).  Her and Denell used to work together at the Beaumont Sheriff's Department.  Then, Denell introduced us to her sweet fiancée, Johnathan.  

We shot Denell & Johnathan's engagement pictures at Little Corona beach in Corona del Mar.  It was such a beautiful day with perfect weather.  However, since I have the worst luck with tidal waves, I ended up loosing my shoe to a wave that came in too quickly!  It was a small sacrifice I had to make to get some beautiful shots of them right along the ocean.  

Congratulations Denell & Johnathan! We will see you in March for your wedding!

Amber & Sam's Wedding Day

It's official... Amber & Sam are married!  We were so happy to be a part of their special day.  They live in Washington & they chose our beautiful Temecula as their setting for their nuptials.  

Their closest friends & family joined them for the intimate ceremony & celebration.  What a moment it was to witness Amber's tears, as she walked down the aisle, with her eyes fixated on Sam!

Megan & Shane's Wedding

Megan & Shane's wedding was gorgeous and classic.  They were married at Villa de Amore, in Temecula's wine country.  They are such a beautiful couple and they chose the perfect color palette for their wedding:  black & white damask with red accents.  They really knew had to add a personal touch to everything... from Megan's elegant details to Shane's other love, his '69 Chevy Super Sport.... we loved every moment of it!  

We photographed Megan's boudoir pictures a few months back, and one of our favorite moments of their wedding day was when she gave Shane the boudoir book, that we designed for her, as a wedding gift.   And we were there to photograph his reaction.... HE LOVED IT! 

 We loved photographing their "Mr. & Mrs." pictures.  Megan is so strikingly beautiful, and when you put Shane's car in the mix... we got magic!  We hope you enjoy their slideshow and please go to their gallery, on our web site, to view all of their wedding images.

Heather & Ross: Engaged!

This couple isn't just "high-five-their-moms" good looking, they are also so sweet and so much fun to photograph.  

Heather wanted to shoot their session in Huntington Beach, at Huntington Central Park, because of a small field of flowers that she loved and wanted to use as their backdrops.  So we agreed to meet them there so they could have the engagement photos that she dreamed of- however, when we arrived, we discovered that the field had disappeared! Apparently the life span of the flowers had passed and the beautiful field of flowers had been eliminated.  But we quickly switched to Plan B and found some other beautiful places in the park to photograph Heather & Ross.  

After you look at this "Sneak Peek" slideshow of their engagement shoot, I think you will agree with us, that Plan B worked out well for them!

Crystal & Matthew's Engagements

We took Crystal & Matthew's engagement photos in La Jolla.  We had a blast with them, literally.  About 15 minutes into the shoot, I was standing at the shoreline with my back to the waves, just focusing on Crystal & Matt's awesomeness, when my assistant, Genevieve, screamed "wave!"  1/100th of a second later, I looked like a drowned rat!  Good news is, my "protect your camera at all costs" kicked in and I held it up, just enough to miss the gigantic wave's blast.  

In spite of the shocking cold drama, we finished the session and are so pleased with the end results.  The best news is, Crystal & Matthew said they love them too!   Yay!!!

Shelbie & Mark's Engagements

Shelbie & Mark are engaged & we have the pictures to prove it!  

Even though they are not getting married until May 2012, they didn't want to wait any longer to shoot their engagement session & and neither did we! 

We had such a fun day photographing these two at Balboa Park in San Diego.  They are such a sweet couple & their love for each other is so obvious, when looking at their images.  We love how they look at each other- so many cute glances between them- sweet, sweet, sweet! 

Now we just have to wait for May 20th to have more fun, photographing Shelbie & Mark's special day.

Catherine & Austin's Wedding

Catherine & Austin- this couple was truly meant to be together!  Their belief in their unadulterated love was staggering and their day was filled with love & support from their families & friends.  

No let's talk about color!  Their wedding decor was a photographer's dream.  It was filled with vivid color & impressive detail.  To try to describe it all would not do it justice.  You will have to take a look for yourself at how lovely everything was.

Abigail & Roland's Engagements

We took Abigail & Roland's engagement pictures at Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula.  We had way too much fun photographing this adorable couple... we had the grounds all to ourselves, and we really utilized the grounds well! We had Abigail & Roland venturing all over Wilson Creek. 

They were so easy to work with... they were willing to do anything we asked of them.  From getting them to play on the swing set, to poking their faces though the grapevines for a kiss, they wanted to do it all!  They had a wonderful time & so did we.

Baby Maverick

When Maverick's mommy & daddy got engaged, we got to know them & photograph their engagement.  When Maverick's mommy & daddy got married, we had the honor of photographing their beautiful wedding.  When Maverick's daddy got Maverick's mommy preggers, we had a blast photographing his mommy's tummy.  (Daddy too- just not his tummy)!  Then, when Maverick decided to make his earthly appearance & join in on all the photography fun, we were there, with camera in hand, when he was only 4 days old.  

Silly us, we were thinking... awesome, only 4 days old, he will sleep the entire time.  Isn't that what newborns do... sleep?  Wrong!  At least not with us around, moving him, (ever so gently) adjusting him, turning a studio light on him... he wasn't having it.  He refused to sleep, (other than the first couple of pictures) & didn't want his picture taken.  I know we will win him over eventually.  Until then, we do have a few really cute pictures of his 1st photo session, that we put on a slideshow, for all to enjoy! 

P.S.  Mommy said that as soon as we left, Maverick slept for 3 hours.  Ouch!- we're hurt! 

The Missick Family

We photographed Erin & Jason's engagements, and then their wedding back in May of 2009.  We felt so honored when they called us to photograph their family portraits after the birth of their daughter, Isabella Sophia.  

They have such a beautiful family!  Their family also includes Jason's daughter Miah who is so sweet & absolutely adorable.  Even the family dogs had to get in on the action! In order to include their dogs in their family pictures, they asked us to photograph them in their own backyard... and what a lovely backdrop it made! Take a look for yourself and see if you agree with us....(we believe their pictures are stunning, how can they not be with a family as lovely as theirs!)

Mary & Dustin's Wedding Day

Mary & Dustin's wedding was truly beautiful & heartfelt.  The expression in their eyes said it all... totally in love!  Their wedding was such a joy to shoot, I don't believe God ever put together a sweeter couple.  Both the bride & groom have been blessed with loving families & warm hearted friends.  We have known the groom's family and even some of their friends for several years.  But we had not seen them for quite some time, so it was wonderful to reconnect & see everyone again.  

Dustin is a firefighter, so he & his dad (who incidentally is also a firefighter!) arranged to have a vintage fire truck displayed on the lawn of Villa de Amore.  You should have seen us jumping up & down when we saw that fire truck!  Oooooh, oooooh! What a cool backdrop for their wedding images.

Lauren & Mario's Wedding

Lauren & Mario had such a beautiful wedding! The colors they chose were so complimentary to them both & looks amazing in pictures.  Lauren & Mario were both so ecstatic to marry each other! Their wedding day was full of energy & love.  They were married at Villa de Amore in the Temecula Wineries.   We took a few of their newlywed pictures in the vineyards at the perfect sun-setting time.  We were able to capture that incredible sun glow- we love those images!  Take a look & enjoy their slideshow:

We are in Las Vegas . . . but NOT to party & gamble!!!  

We are there to attend Skip's Summer School to continue our education so we can continue to be the best we can be at capturing your most precious moments!  We will be back and working hard on August 5th.

Susy & Albert's Wedding Day!

Susy & Albert's wedding was quite the event! They were married at The Immaculata Parish at the University of San Diego & their reception was held at the Marriott Hotel.  We were photographing from 8:00 in the morning, til 10:00 at night! Whew! But it was definitely worth the long day because we had the most amazing time spending it with Albert, Susie and their family & friends.  Susie looked flawless and Albert was so handsome in his uniform.  We LOVED the sword ceremony when Susy & Albert stepped out of the church... that was so much fun to photograph! We then took their newlywed pictures at the beautiful, Balboa Park.  Their reception was so full of energy! Albert even sang the song, "When I Said I Do" to Susy.  There was not a dry eye in the room! So romantic!!!

Congratulations Susy & Albert! We hope you enjoyed your month-long honeymoon in Europe!
